I didnt even think of maybe stripping a scissor jack. That can be a cheap option. The only other lead screws i could find were very expensive, so i changed my design currently to have 2 bearings and an M12 threaded rod greased up. Might go for stripping a jack....

Ek en 2 jag vriende laat bou vir ons sommer elkeen n press op dieselfde planne. Ek is nie in beheer van die manufacturing nie, net die design wat nou klaar is. Die press fingers is vandag gesny. Staal word more gesny.

My press is gebou, maar ek moet hom nog by my kry van George af. Die oranje een is myne. Ek het die ontwerp in die tekeninge klein bietjie aangepas om hom te maak werk met ons staal seksies.

Die presses is presies dieselfde en daar is sommer 3 gebou so tussen ons jag groep.Image

Dankie, ek moes hom maar ontwerp het met n enjine en wiele sodat hy self na my toe kon ry. Ek gaan hom heel moontlik eers volgende week by my hê.

Hy gaan mooi werk. As jy 'n press het kan jy nog lekkerder speel, veral as jy daai yokes will gebruik om jou boog fyn te stel met die rest op center-shot.

Lyk na 'n baie goeie uitkomen daar. Wel gedaan.
Net so paar tips van foute wat ek al gemaak het.
Maak seker die brackets is mooi gestel as jy begin press sodat die limbs gelyk gedruk word en die cams reguit bly.
Met meeste boë is dit beter om die ponde af te draai, veral met boë oor 70lb en Mathews beveel aan om die limb bolts so 4-5 draaie uit te draai.
Pasop die boog val maklik uit die press as die brackets na mekaar gestel is veral met past parallel limb boë.
Die plaatjies wat jy onder die bracket skroewe gesit het moet redelik hard wees. Die punte van daai stel skroewe druk gate in die plaatjies en ek vind ook die skroewe se punte word plat geklink na 'n ruk met hoë pond boë en dan wil hulle die ver genoeg uitdraai om die bracket se agterkant plat op die press se arm te laat lê nie.
Die soort presse is baie sterk. Ek het al die dwars boute wat die brackets vashou gebuig toe ek 'n 180lb kruisboog gepress het. Maar my press se boute was nie van sterk staal nie.

Another word of caution as I see these are being advertised for sale on FB.
The finger system is under patent to Last Chance Archery and can create a lawsuit. The US are clamping down heavy on people selling knockoffs of their equipment...just a heads up.
If its solely for your use only I can't see a problem.
